Finance for nature-positive ventures
Everything depends on nature. From health and happiness to economies and resilience, humanity is inextricably linked to the natural world.
Halting biodiversity loss is therefore critical — but to do so, we need better business models. Gone are the days of mitigating environmental damage and carbon neutrality. Those strategies are no longer sufficient.
Nature-positive business models inherently protect, restore and regenerate species and ecosystems.
Nature-positive is our future — but this paradigm shift needs and deserves financial support.
We’re not a bank, but we do offer loans.
We’re not a VC, but we do invest in innovation.
We’re not a charity, but we do offer grants.
We’re a financier like no other.

Projects
Wedgetail is already partnering with landowners, NGOs and businesses on nature-positive projects in Australia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras and Indonesia .
Zorzal
Scaling the world’s first Bird-Friendly-certified cacao farm

Zorzal is a 1,019-acre Bird-Friendly-certified cacao farm that finances the conservation of Bicknell's Thrush habitat by producing, sourcing and selling cacao. Wedgetail’s nature-linked loan enables Zorzal to purchase cacao from neighbouring farmers and helps them obtain certifications of their own.

Nature-linked loans
Wedgetail’s first financial product is nature-linked loans. The more natural capital you create, the lower your interest rate. It’s that simple.
